String pinsetters are a lot less expensive than fully automated machines. One of the many advantages of string pinsetters is that they have fewer moving parts and require minimal maintenance.

Kegel Sport installed 10pin Pinsetters
Changeover from Brunswick “Free Fall” Pinsetters to Kegel Sport's “String” pinsetters. The owners asked us to retain the old ball return system that included the ball elevator, ball excellerator and ball lifter. We also connected the old sweep to the new system.
All 10 lanes have been changed over with minimal interuptions to the business. The owners were amazed by the simplicity and reliability of the pinsetters as the old A2 Brunswick came to the end of their working life.
The outlay for the changeover was repaid within 18 months, due to the much lower power consumption and large saving on salaries for mechanics.
